The Wage-earner

The corporate fool
waiting for the day to end
to go home to a TV dinner
The dog his only friend

This battle he wages with the computer
day after day is the same
the clock ticking, ticking, stop
and the damn clock breaks, again

He spends his days with solitare
what does he accomplish?
A few games won, many more lost
but not the dreams he might wish

He want to be free
to walk the streets of venice
to be a new man
to become a pro in tennis

His wishes go unnoticed
as he works to appease the 'man'
he wants to breaks free
and suddenly this wage earner has a plan.
