little rain, i love you! how
you fall upon my eager brow.
whisper-soft as subtle breath
that warmly falls, so light and deft

love it when i rise, you fall
and when the day is wet.
sing me sleepingly at night
and haunting dreams beget.

little rain, i love you! for so
many things you cause to grow.
souly yours, I saturate
with love on days precipitate.
