Kathlene Ann - A Beautiful End

Have you ever seen the city by night?
Seen civilization at it’s height?
Been overwhelmed by many a headlight?
And wondered what it would be like…

Wondered how you would feel
If you gave yourself over to the appeal
Of a fate so sad and so real.

What would it be like to have rushing cars,
With their bright headlights shiny like stars,
Close in and run you down, to have that fate be ours.

How artistically ironic to have one’s last sight
Full of beauty blinding, bright,
End in everlasting night.

I don’t know why,
But I want to die,
Beautifully.
