The tears will not fall
My screams are silent
The mind seeks a solution
The heart refuses to answer
I still stand tall
Holding against the tyrant
The mind tells to move on
The heart is holding back

The voice lost the words to say
My soul has no song to sing
The mind writes a better scene
The heart glances at the old
I take it day by day
Listening to what my dreams bring
The mind pushes away the images
The heart wants to decipher them

The emotions are numb
My memory seems to fade
The mind tries to understand
The heart stays confused
I try again to gather the crumbs
To erase the pain that stayed
The mind glues them together
The heart sweeps them away

The pain is still inside
My fire has lost it's flame
The mind looks at the sun
The heart wishes for rain
I still try to hide
Feelings of regret and shame
The mind blocks them out
The heart still remembers
