Katherine Argentati - Gymnastics

Gymnastics
Butterflies filled my stomach,
I was more nervous than ever,
The sweat dripped down my face into my mouth.
The chalk from the other gymnasts filled the room.
The adrenaline in me grew as my friends and coach cheered me on
As I jumped, the floor twisted beneath me.
I was a bird soaring through the air,
The smile grew on my face as everyone congratulated me
I had worked for so long and finally landed my back tuck,
I had accomplished the one thing that I had really wanted.
Everyone was cheering for me like a football game.
Everyone was so proud, including myself.
