Kath Shuman - Life

I robbed myself of it’s joy.
Emerged from the comfort of the coma,
Induced by the fear of loss.
To find strengths unknown or long forgotten.
Time to pursue interests of importance to me.
Energy to grasp a future as yet unseen.
Embracing the quiet of sitting alone.
Realizing I’ve lived with the fear all along.
That there might not be comfort in the future to be found.
Only to discover there is so much more.
Joys which had never been experienced, much less known.
Pleasure in life surrounds me beyond all I’ve ever dreamed
It provides pure contentment and makes me gleam.
