Too much passed is carried,
Some joy but more hurts.
Hearts filleted over years
Bleeding into the future.
Blood staining dreamlands,
Hopes aborted by ghosts.
Misty greyness clouded
By what was and may be.
Unlived, loved or heeded,
The present slips away.
