The Katadyn Hiker Camping Water Filter System is a compact, lightweight, and easy to use EPA certified filter system. The Hiker is tested and certified for microbiological water purification, reducing 99.99% of microbial cysts and pathogenic bacteria. It features an easy pump design with separate intake and output tubes for ease of use and sanitizing. The Katadyn Hiker removes particles, cysts and parasites 0.3 microns or larger. The Katadyn Hiker water filter element is a 0.3 micron glass-fiber with 129 square inches of surface area. A carbon prefilter prevents large particles from reaching the main filter extending its life. Chemicals and odors are adsorbed through the activated carbon core producing better tasting drinking water. The Katadyn Hiker Backcountry Camping Filter System Includes: intake and output hoses, prefilter, carry bag, and a universal bottle adaptor (fits most bottles).
