There are many philosophers who write commentaries on the Bhagavad-gita but have no faith in Krishna. They will never be liberated from the bondage of fruitive action. But an ordinary person with firm faith in the eternal injunctions of the Lord, even though unable to follow such orders immediately, eventually is blessed by the Lord with the power to follow them and is ultimately liberated from the bondage of the law of karma. In other words, in the beginning of one's practice of Krishna consciousness one may not fully discharge all the Lord's injunctions, but because one is not resentful of this principle and works sincerely with determination, one will surely be promoted to the stage of pure Krishna consciousness.
