Karl Marx
1 Views • May 25, 2018
Description
Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, and Max Weber were considered the three classical thinkers because their jobs have become pillars for the construction of sociological studies. Just as Durkheim, Marx's interest was to understand the social changes witnessed during the Industrial Revolution. He saw firsthand the rapid process of growth of plants and industrial production, and the consequent growth of social inequality.
His close relationship with European labor movements of the time influenced his writings and his theoretical approach. Although it devoted more to issues of area economy, its comprehensive vision also considered the events that were connected to the social world. Precisely for this reason, his works are widely used in sociological studies.
