This fantastic double A-side is the first single from Donegal/Dublin band Kaplin. They say theyve spent three years trying to decide on their sound. What theyve ended up with is hard to describe its rock, definitely, but with Brian Cannons scratchy fiddle playing giving it a dark, bluesy edge. If Calexico and Mark Lanegan cross-pollinated it would sound a bit like this and why didnt anyone think to sound like this before? Very impressive indeed.
