Kalki kochlin was born on 10 january 1984 to French parents in a small village in Pondicherry...she did study in ooty she studied drama and theatre at goldsmiths,university of London ,...she did performed in various plays including hare's The blue room Marivaux and devised p[lay called The rise of the wild hunt" ....kalki did modeling for tv before being shortlisted for role of chandramukhi in film dev d in 2009....kalki can speak Tamil ,English and French and also Hindi ....she won The hindu's 2009 Metroplus Playwright award with prashant prakash.......she is descendent of Maurice a swiss structural engineer as the managing director of gustave eiffel's contributed to the construction of Eiffel tower and statue of liberty...
