Kajukenbo is an eclectic martial art combining the most effective techniques from different systems.

Kajukenb stands for:

KA - Karate (Korean, Tang Soo Do)
JU - Judo (Kodokan) & Ju Jitsu (Sekeino)
KEN- Kenpo (Kara-Ho & Kosho-Ryu) en
BO - Boxing (Chinese boxing, wushu, kung fu)

Kajukenbo was developed during the end of the forties on the Palama Settlement of Hawaii and was founded by Sijo Adriano D. Emperado and co-founded by:

Peter Choo (Tang Soo Do);
Frank Ordonez (Seikano Ju Jitsu);
Joseph Holck (Kodokan Judo/Danzan Ryu Ju Jitsu) and
Clarence Chang (Si Lum Pai Kung Fu).

Although all these influences are apparent, the most heaviest part of the system consists of Kenpo techniques.
