Kajol was born on 5th august 1974 to a producer shomu mukherjee and actress tanuja....she studied at st. joseph convent boarding school in panchgani......at the age of 16 she began work on rahul rawail's film Bekhudi ...later to persue a full time career in film she dropped out to school......tehn she appeared in film baazigar in 1993 alongwith SRK and shilpa shetty.....and in 1994 from yeh dillagi film she won filmfare best actress award...but it was DDLJ in 1995 that broke all the records at box office and earned kajol 1st film fare ward for best acress...
