'Just Ittefaaq' is a music project/band (based in Chandigarh) led and directed by Jasleen Aulakh with each musician skilled in his individual forte. The percussionist who plays for Just Ittefaaq these days is an accomplished young gentleman by the name of Naaz who is also adept at the tabla. Along with Nishant Agarwal who plays the lead guitar and also sings.

With Polly Saghera as the lyricist , and her daughter Jasleen Aulakh being the lead singer and director of the project , 'Just ittefaaq' is best defined as a collaboration between a mother and daughter who inspire each other with a goal to make meaningful music without sermonizing.
Predominantly inspired by folk music from different parts of India - Mainly Rajasthan, Himachal and Punjab and also some Sufi influences, the project aims to popularize folk music from the country which seems to have been given a back seat in modern times. Just Ittefaaq has also performed a few collaborative shows with traditional folk musicians from Rajasthan.

Experimenting with different sounds by not sticking to conventional limits, the project includes various instruments like the Derbuka, djembe, cajon, xylophone, congos, tabla, morchang/dan moi, storm drums etc. in their act.

Not being bound by limitations of any specific genre the band performs anything from Sufi and folk music to slow rock and country music in Hindi, English, Punjabi and French depending upon the requirement of the occasion.
