Since its launch in April 2017, the service has gained more than 200,000 users.
But just how practical is it here? Is it just the latest fad or is it really useful in solving the first and last mile problem of transportation in Malaysia? The Malaysian Insight took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur to find out.
Starting from Masjid Negara, we cycled through Dataran Merdeka, Masjid Jamek and on to Central Market.
All in all, the service proved useful for short distances and during off-peak hours in the city. It was easily accessible as the bicycles can be found everywhere in the city and they were well-maintained.
oBike is great for the first and last mile of your journey. But more than that, The Malaysian Insight suggests driving instead.
