Description

peace:
an absence of war or other hostilities
freedom from disturbance or agitation

the world in harmony, all with each other
loving, sharing, caring
everyone as sister and brother
a perfect utopia, peace

war:
a state of hostility, conflict, antagonism
to contend, to strive violently, to fight

the world turned upside-down
darkened, broken, burning
everything lost that we had found
without hope of peace of love

but we continue through poison rain
that scars our face and soul
through much toil, little gain
loosing ourselves, in war

destruction:
to subdue or defeat completely, crush
to render useless or ineffective

we surrender to our primal side
uncontrollably, unconsciously
something unknown dying inside
when we wake suddenly to the truth

instantly awake to witness horrors created
produced by fear and hate
pure beauty mutated
as we sate our thirst for destruction

peace:
tranquility or quiet
inner contentment; serenity

this silence weighs upon the ears
nameless, unfamiliar, unforeseen
no way to express newborn fears
or how our hearts still bleed

remnants of broken lives
scattered, hidden, lost
among the silence and the cries
precious peace, the cost
