The biggest challenge
i'll ever do..
is to pretend
that i don't see you,
to act tough
in front of you,
and to not notice
what you do...

A mere disguise
i have worn..
to cover up
what is torn,
a smile given
to deceive
other's feelings
i must conceive...

Before myself,
i put others..
what they say
are all that matters,
whether i'm hurt
is not an issue
what they feel
is what i value...

I will continue
on pretending
until they're gone
all my feelings
then i'll come clean
once it is through
i'll admit to you
i once loved you...
