Julia Marcell (born Julia Górniewicz) - Polish singer, pianist, violinist and composer, living and recording in Germany, dating from Olsztyn, Eastern Poland. Was recognized by the British newspaper The Guardian as one of the "People of Tomorrow".

Julia sings with punk power in the acoustic arrangements mainly based on piano and string quartet. She underlines the strong emotions by blunt impacts, experiments with the tempo and modulates a voice.

She began a career at fourteen, but playing the piano until about 2005. In 2007 she released her self-released debut EP album entitled 'Storm'. It was a carefully thought-out debut, consisting of five great songs, in which can be heard many known influences such as Tori Amos and Regina Spektor.

In October 2007, with the help of the fans, Julia Marcell earned with www.Sellaband.com site the amount of 50 000 U.S. dollars for recording LP album. In this way, her debut album entitled 'It Might Like You" had been released. The album was recorded in January 2008 in Berlin, in collaboration with a string quartet and four percussionists. Moses Schneider was the music producer, who was working with many rock bands i.a. Beatsteaks, Kreator or Tocotronic.

Julia Marcell (właśc. Julia Górniewicz) -- polska piosenkarka, pianistka, skrzypaczka i kompozytorka mieszkająca i nagrywająca w Niemczech, pochodząca z Olsztyna. Została uznana przez brytyjski dziennik „The Guardian" za jedną z „ludzi jutra".

Julia śpiewa z punkową mocą, w aranżacjach akustycznych opartych głównie o pianino i kwartet smyczkowy. Podkreśla emocje mocnymi, tępymi uderzeniami, eksperymentuje z tempem i moduluje swój głos.

Swoją kompozytorską karierę rozpoczęła w wieku czternastu lat, ale na pianinie zaczęła grać dopiero około 2005 roku. W 2007 roku wydała własnym sumptem swoją debiutancką EP-kę pt. "Storm". Był to starannie przemyślany debiut, składający się z pięciu świetnych piosenek, w których słychać wpływy m.in. Tori Amos i Reginy Spektor.

W październiku 2007 z pomocą fanów uzbierała kwotę 50 000 USD na nagranie płyty długogrającej za pomocą serwisu www.Sellaband.com. W ten sposób ukazała się jej debiutancki album „It Might Like You". Płyta została nagrana w styczniu 2008 roku w Berlinie, we współpracy z kwartetem smyczkowym i czterema perkusistami. Producentem muzycznym został Moses Schneider, pracujący z kapelami rockowymi Beatsteaks, Kreator czy Tocotronic.
