September
Is my month.
Virgo
By birth.
But I have never
Been to Mercury.
I am not
Thatt smart
And I really
Am not a
Perfectionist.

But I can be
Narrow minded
And overly critical
At times.
Topaz is my lucky stone
But I prefer
Sapphires.

But
I do love September.
Mainly because
Thats when
The rainy season starts.
The tropics come alive
And the heat
Subsides.

September means
Football.
And a delicious absence
Of hyperactive children.

A turn to cooler weather
The clouds seem
Fluffier.
The skies seem
Bluer.
The sun seems
Cooler.
But the Gulf
Remains warm.

September is perfect
Beach weather.
All the blue
Stinging jellyfish
Have exited stage right.
And the Atlantic is calm.
For a time

Usually
Great monster storms follow.
September is the month
For storms.
But storms never
Last.

I love September
Even though each year
It makes me
One year older.
