Hot dogs, cotton candy, corn on the cob,
Generators roar in the night.
Down the midway there's a joyful mob,
Illumined by the neon lights.

People screaming, barkers howling,
All around the constant noise.
Popcorn boxes litter the ground,
Like a child's abandoned toys.

From the freak house there is laughter,
From the hall of mirrors too.
Merriment to raise the rafters,
Not a single soul is blue.

Get out your money, and just let it go,
If you get cheated so be it.
Your face will acquire a constant glow,
The night is young, no time to quit.
