Juan Olivarez - A Chained Heart
1 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
With chains and padlocks made of steel.
Thirty feet above the ground,
Where blows the wind with a bitter chill.
A heart inprisoned in a cage,
Struggles and fights to be set free.
Grinding and clenching teeth in rage,
Testing the bars constantly.
Bitter bondage inside that cell,
Where nothing stirs except the chains.
Securely holding a soul in hell,
With eternal agony and constant pains.
No key to the padlocks will be found,
The tower is too steep to climb.
The chains make their metallic sounds,
And the wind blows bitter all the time.
Forever more locked in that cell,
This heart will remain securely bound.
Inside this bitter desolate shell,
Thirty feet above the ground.
