Blinded by the shimmer of yesterdays glow
I hold on to u my trusted friend
sheared off ma thick dark skin of numbness
I care for u my beloved friend
With a frozen black heart burnt off its coldness
i love u my only friend.

still then why leave me when its dark &
knowing well too, I’m afraid of the dark.
now stop telling me u are going too
coz even though they have all left, they never told me they will.
have my word “hurt u I’ll ever do”
Coz even though I’ve hurt ‘em all, I never told ‘em I will.

Now the lights have gone and so have u
All I said was nothing but truth my only friend
and is this what u do to me
knowing well too, I’m afraid of the dark
and is this why the world doth say
trust not even ur own shadow…

now that ur gone and I’m lone
i’ll wait for u living the dark
Coz ther’s noone else coming this way
the way of the lost which ain’t leading home
the harder I try the harder it gets
and the weaker I grow
so I’ll curl maself into the dark
I’ll curl maself to loneliness
i’ll curl maself till u come…
