Ah! Tonight at last I have found it,
Information my eyes wish to see:
The actual number of English words
Set out in the small pocket dictionary.
Spellings and meanings in black & white,
Are listed in booklets dainty and light.
Thousands of words appear...
There to remain year after year,
Longing to be on literary display...
In the true William Shakespeare way.
Nouns and adjectives in alphabetical order,
Dramatic words, fit for Poets' Corner.
So now is the time to set a new fashion
Use English wording; it's never on ration.
