Joyce Chelmo - Let The Dove Fly

As the sun set in the west
in blaze of pastels.
She faced the east;
dusk cast the world in blue.
Stood under the perfect half moon.

Glow of vanilla light
in her tear filled eyes,
she symbolically raised her palms open,
releasing him to the east winds,
and let the dove fly.
