Joseph Ostapiuk - Walking Through Rain

Walking this stale, unmanned street
of damp and residual rain
Stepping slowly, weary and lonely
in dire mortal pain
Where wonderful fire, love and desire
is nothing near the same
I move on further
past my legs that tire
and feel that wonderous flame
but never retire to its lovely warmth
but walk along
and push on forth
