I loved your blend of rock, blues, country and even jazz
You stayed true and never moved from South Carolina
You were born and raised there and died in Sparta
You started The Marshall Tucker Band, a great band
You served in Viet Nam
What you see was what you got
I loved your lead guitar played with your thumb
Your brother Tommy played the Bass in the band
When he was killed in a car accident you were so hurt
You only had one wife and you were real
You lived a short life but you touched mine my friend
Every time I ride thru the Carolinas I think of you and Tom
Toy Caldwell I miss you and your music lives on and on
