We meet in the poetry of love
gazing at the fire of night
feeling the stars of forever love

Through the laughter I hear you
I hear your gentle soul
I see your passionate moon

Will you try to understand me
I will try to be your friend
sometimes the wind must blow free

Wisdom needs space and growth
love is giving room and time
we must give each other both

When the apple blossoms fall
when tears rain the fallow ground
will we hear each other call?

Tears we all cry
we walk at times a lonely mile
sweet mother and father die

Faithfulness is like an oak tree
strong and stalwart in the storm
yet calm with sturdy beauty

My vows are like brilliant stars
beyond earth and sea
Heaven itself lives in my heart

I will love you forever and ever
