Joseph Lee - The Visitor's

Description
In the west, the sun sets, but can light die?
In the wake of all the people, they roam the night
Twisting and turning in their space ships might.
Their lights dim out, and the craft glides down
Only one person is there to alert the town.
He does not move, he does not speak
His curiosity has reached its peak.
With sliding doors the creatures crawl
hunched over as if to break a fall.
They speak a language, he knew not of
But the sounds were evidently full of love.
With tunes of harmonies they all acquired
Singing the words just like a choir.
With no resistance, he climbs aboard
The ship flew off, through the night it soared.
He tries to talk, yet no noise comes out
But the aliens tell him there is no need to shout.
They are not the creatures portrayed on screen
They could not be in any killing scene
They come to save humanity
I know this because that boy was me.
