As i sit and wait in darkness
i focus on whats come you see.
words she says cut with sharpness
now pain from depression i bleed.

empty pain within my chest
my heart she took with her.
i give it all i tried my best
yet memories of her still linger.

impossible now to just move on
a restlesss night with no sleep.
approaching now the light of dawn
out my bed i slowly creep,

i start my day like nothings changed
torment felt just needs to end
hiding truth that fills with shame.
i write my poem for thoughts to mend

a notebook i confide these thoughts
of a heart thats filled with sadness
of a torment love hate has brought
now endless nights i sit in darkness
