Description

One two three, three two one,
All is coming undone, in this life we lead,
Through amusement parks and fire sparks,
Train wrecks and tragedies.
Above and below, eyes are bearing down,
Calling out names in desperation.
“William! Bethany! Why have you forsaken me? '
Is there no tree limb, ladder, or staircase,
On which I can climb out of my destiny?
For what is my destiny, but prison in disguise,
Awaiting approach around a corner bare,
To snare its victim quicker than,
Lightning flashing, thunder crashing,
Husbands bashing their hopeless wives,
Until their lives are so meaningless and vile,
That no one would walk a mile,
For a million dollars,
In their crusty, unkempt shoes?
Chaos, like clockwork, unwinding,
The smirk on the little brat’s face,
As she looks at her over worked mother of three,
With no husband dear to comfort her,
In pain of head and heart, not knowing,
Where the healing starts.
Then, quick as it started, the noise stops,
And janitors come in with their soggy mops,
To clean the tears of the innocent souls,
Hidden within our own.
