To nice clothes and shoes,
To rhymes of Mother Goose,
To gossips of tongues loose
and concepts, no matter whose -
no attachment.

To make-up and perfume,
To food and any tune,
To trees and flowers that bloom
and the city where you're born -
no attachment.

To beauty and wealth,
To times of good health,
Pleasures had in stealth,
Happenings till death -
no attachment.

All that led to fame,
Things that gave you name,
All that's in the game,
They'll not remain the same,
so, no attachment.

Happiness in sun or rain,
Joy over boon or bane,
Freedom from all painj,
There's everything to gain
free from attachment.
