at the door

to them, a simple joke

could be a knife to the

neck

don't laugh

it isn't funny

all the stories

she tells

she's heard about your name

and she's giving you

hell

....a few hours later


she's turning at the door
smile dripping with delight
and her mouth starts

chirping

'you know? ...

it's too bad you won't

remember this'
