Jon Butter - Unless

Your days will run out like sugar for your tea.
Unless one night as you stare into the fire,
Or perhaps the water boiling for your dinner,
Or maybe at the neighbor's children, a boy and a girl,
Chasing each other around the yard wearing rainbow sized smiles,
You admit that you will not experience everything.
Then, like stars reveal why God made dark, you do.
