Sidney died by the lake,
on the way to his funeral
He could not bear the loss
and was overwhelmed with grief.
We tried to comfort him,
but he could not bear the loss.

His last words were mumbled,
and he turned to Golden Yellow
and disappeared into the dusk.
We already missed him,
but we knew he was watching us
now from out There.
We could hear him singing from time to time,
as he did so beautifully
while he was to us, alive.

After a while we remembered our own grief
and moved on to our own funerals.
