The Beach


To the beach is where I go.
Just to have a little time alone.
Kick off my shoes, walk in the sand.
Leaving the harshness of dry land.

Watch the birds and ducks fly by,
and the cute little ducklings that I spy.
Their soft downiness, all in a row.
Follow the leader, where ever mom goes.

Often I love to revisit this place.
To clear my head and say a prayer of grace.
One last deep breath in... before I go,
back to the harshness of dry land I sow.
