Hurdles are high
from where they lie
Finish line hard to spy
Running is not a breeze

High wire act
elevation is abstract
Pick up the slack
In the net of unease

Tossing and turning
the seas are churning
Quietness yearning
Someone throw the life jacket please

Strength is waning
Body complaining
Muscles straining
Falling the Pillars of Hercules
