Every night
as my head
hits the pillow,
And sleep engulfes
my waking fears,
They come to me,
In a silent roar.

They mock
my every
move,
My every
gesture.
In their fits
of silent laughter.

I try
to run,
To flee,
But everywhere
I go, Them,
Feeding
on my
Fear.

And when,
With relief
I wake,
I know
They're not gone,
Just,
There,
Waiting...
