fill a balloon with water
pierce it and you
will be a sad witness
to how a vital fullness
would slowly lose its vitality
become not only limp
but remain permanently flat
even when you try your whole might
blowing and bumping air and water into it

form a country with myriad races
get them going different ways
surely and slowly you would
see a country going no where

even even if you throw a trillion dollars over its air
