Description

I’ve never known what’s it’s like to not be in love.
Since I was born, it’s been out of my hands.
I was designed for her. She’s the reason I exist.
The reason my heart beats, the reason it started is her.
Do you know what it’s like? To know there will never be anyone who could love her like you do?
Do you know what it’s like? To know she will never know?
I was designed for her. I am destined to never fulfill my purpose.
In my existence, she is my warmth, my life-giver, she is my Sun.
And I am Pluto, frozen solid, not even considered a planet.
But I envy Pluto. Oh, how nice it would be to be Pluto; Insignificant, but undoubtedly a constant.
Every month, day, minute, I fall further from her, deeper into a forlorn emptiness.
And I can do nothing but watch. Aware of it. Broken by it.
I’ve fought for her, oh how I’ve fought, but destiny is destiny because it won’t change.
So I can do nothing but resign to destitution, smiling, crying, imagining how things should have been.
