This is the 1st in a series of videos featuring improvised phrases by jazz guitar player, John Scofield. This first video's phrase was transcribed from the tune "Wee" off Scofield's CD entitled "En Route".

About the Jazz Guitarist's Signature Series: Each lesson checks out the improvisational style of a prominent artist within the history of jazz guitar. This is done through a brief transcribed riff, most likely played over a persisting harmonic cadence (eg. II-V-I).
