John Sarvay - December 31,1999
1 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
as you watched the skyline
on the eve
of the blackout.
We stood barefoot in the snow
at the precipice.
We shimmered,
silent. Our gloved hands slipped
together and shivering, we wondered aloud
that an instant could be so cold, that
our memories might vanish abruptly.
What if, you asked, we forget
what needs to be said
before we learn to speak again?
What if
it all just stops?
