I can build this wall,
Faster than I thought,
Mistreating the leaping thoughts,
And it does me no good,

Such a break down of communication,
Breaks down so much,
It makes me wonder why people risk,
Talking to begin with,

And walls become fortresses,
Power I never wanted,
Power that freezes rebellious thoughts,
And coats my deepest nerves with iron,

And now it becomes a death trap,
A distant cement nightmare,
The seed that is me won’t survive in here,
Maybe it’s what I want
