John Jackson - The Same One

I would wake up every morning and step...all
Over, on every little insignificant nobody, who would never give me the time of
Day...yesterday, and they are the same ones who beg to see me
Tomorrow...their tomorrow...Swallowed alive by their own pride..
Never to return to their innocence
I was the one they hated, the very same one

Your enemy, the loser, the only friend you had when you wanted
Something, taking my heart for granted....so what happened to those
Days? Did they take a pencil and erase..or did they just simply disappear
I was that person, who made
Friends out of Bruises, still an insolent nuisance
That's what I was, what I had to tolerate...what i had to become
I was that person, the very same one...
