John Goodwin - I Miss You

Your time has come and you must go
Your life is ended and this I know.
The journey was sweet and all too slow
But for me it's hard to let you go.

The past good times flash through my mind
But to let you go seems so unkind.
I think of you from morning till night
but you must go and I know it's right.

Now I must let you go and live alone
With all the sorrow that death has shone.
The days drag on and there seems no end
For a broken heart that tries to mend.

Now I know your life was not too long
But it's hard to believe that you have gone.
When the time comes for me to go.
I'll come to you and it won't be slow.
