Hi there, my name is John Garvey and I've been writing and performing songs for about 10 years now. I currently work as a music therapist after completing a Masters in Music Therapy from the University of Limerick. I have performed in many different venues across Ireland and also internationally where I was a finalist in the 'New Zealand National Songwriting competition'. In 2005 I entered the 'International song contest of Peace' with the song 'You're Not Alone', where I won the prize for Best Irish song. In July 2010 I won the Glinsk Song Contest and in August 10' I played the 'Milk' music festival. I am currently working with a band and plan to start recording in September...I have recorded demos, which you can hear on this page.
