John D Barton - Five Years From Now

Five Years From Now

There he is lying here in a hospital bed, waiting to die.
He just says, why god, why.
He says, 'My foot feels weird'.
'wait', he speaks loudly 'something is missing, My leg'.

He hears a small voice coming from the door.
He looks over to see his little daughter. 'Daddy', she says.
So, he open my arms, she comes running with a red
face and full of tears.'Are you ok' she says. He Respond
'Yes baby im ok'.

It wont hurt to tell just a lie. His wife walks in,
And says, 'How was Irag'.The Doctor walks in and
says'Mr. Barton, You'll be fine'.

He finaly goes home. That night lying in bed he
just says, 'Why, Oh why, Did i join the Marines'. His wife
rolls over to says, 'You did for a furture and for a way of life.
