John Britton - Friendship Poem
16 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Perhaps a day, a week, a month
But never lasting
It can be long and forever
Surviving all that it brings
A bond never broken
And every now and then
Leading to love everlasting
It needs respect and understanding
not all words spoken will be kind, some in haste
forgiveness may be required
So it can be broken but also repaired
As before? Not sure
perhaps weaker, hopefully stronger
It needs to be heard rather than just listening
And showing understanding and patience
Are qualities needed
Doing not just saying
Giving rather than receiving
Good advice always heeded
Do not take it for granted, it could cost you dear
so work to keep it
As friendship is a priceless treasure.
