I’m sorry it had to end this way,
I’m sure you wanted it to go on
Yet, we still grow and are forced to say
“good bye” it’s the worst part of this our song.

Tell my father, and tell my mother,
I’m not coming home again
Tell my brother and tell my lover
I’m not coming home again

This time the truth is plain to us
That we must run away from time
Seeking out those we can’t trust
Till then I can’t see past this line

Tell my friends that this must end,
Tell my lover that I’m all alone
Tell everyone I know that I send,
My regards as I pay my debt and atone.

I know I must stay away
I know I must find a way
I know what I have to say
Because its better off this way
