Description

“Come and join me for a dance, ”
Said Patrick John to me.
“I’d love to, thank you sir, ” I say,
“But wait ‘til after tea.”

Patrick John was oh so wise
To wait that bit for me,
For I’d been waiting oh so long
For someone such as he.

And waiting made it twice as rich
To hear that melody
That Patrick John and I dance to
In letters ‘cross the sea.
